The greatest compliment to an artist is when a work is purchased. I feel blessed to have you visit the site.
Should you choose to make a purchase, 100% of the profits help my husband and I continue serving as missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene working with JESUS Film Harvest Partners.

Diane LaVern Robbins

Yes, I really want to go to Paris.
Hi, I am Diane LaVern Robbins (aka DL Robbins). I live in Kansas with my fabulous husband (Rusty), my amazing 84 year-old mom, and Bella our family pug. I create abstract paintings.
I really appreciate you taking time to look at my website. I hope you find something which inspires you. I suspect you will see a few things which make you say "I could do that!"
The Tools
Scrapers, mud knives, and palette knives are my preferred tools.
I love the feel of paint on canvas. My work is abstract, contemporary, and modern.
Why abstract?
The imagination of the viewer far exceeds the single-minded representation of the art. Spend a few seconds looking at each piece and tell me what you see. I enjoy seeing the art from the vantage point of the viewer.
I choose not to sign most of my art on the front so there is no perceived “right” way to hang the piece. This allows you to hang each piece vertically or horizontally. You are able to experience four different works of art in one painting or print.
3 Ways to Experience Abstract Art:
1. Look at one group, wall or page, if you had to choose, identify the piece you like best.
2. View each piece as if you are looking at a cloud. Do you see an image? Of what does it remind you?
3. Play “Name the Art”. What would you name the work of art? Go ahead - make a suggestion.
